Hi Folks from ACDSee!After installing El Capitan (public beta) I encountered a familiar issue I had since changing from Mountain Lion to Mavericks with every single major OS X upgrade. All the thumbnails will turn just simply white and render the software therefore useless.I do understand that major OS changes might always be challenging for developers. However, since there are developer as well as public betas available for El Capitan for quite a while now I'm simply wondering, whether you are aware of the issue and are already working on a fix and at what time that fix would be available to the general public. I completely agree that there is a problem.

I am using the most current release of ACDSee Mac Pro (3.6.188) and some thumbnails are rendered OK, so are just a blank white square, and some are a white square with 'JPEG' and an icon on them. No apparent logic to what is rendered OK and what is not, but my guess is has something to do with the file format - I have a mix of NEF, CR2, JPG, RAF, and iPhone images. But unless ACDSee can render them all correctly, it is not software that can be used. It would be very useful to know when ACDSee is going to address this issue. This same problem has happened with every Mac OS update and it is getting to be a joke. I cannot recommend the Mac version of ACDSee to anyone as long as this problem continues. It is a shame as the program has much potential.
Fortunately, I have another program to process images. For those using ACDSee Pro Mac 3 as their only PP software I feel for you. If you need another PP software to get you through this issue with ACDSee you could download Darktable for free and use it until a fix comes forth.
Yes it works, but I am still desperately waiting for an ACDSEE Mac version with at least all functionalities of the Windows version. I do feel underpriveledgedA while back I started a thread for some features that would be nice to include in the next version of ACDSEE Pro Mac; one of the things I enjoy about this version is its simplicity.
I would hope future versions would keep the layout simple but with features that are truly needed such as dust removal, etc. For me, the main thing is quick support for issues such as the one we just experienced with the OS update.
It is not right one has to wait a month for a fix that should have been addressed as soon as the issue arose. Given proper support this program could be one of the best out there for Macs.
